Miss Amina Shafik is an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and has been a gynaecologist for more than 20 years. She performs a wide range of gynaecological surgery including Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic operations, urinary incontinence and prolapse procedures, vaginal and abdominal surgery.
She consults in London and Kent (please see Consulting Rooms for more information).
Miss Shafik has extensive experience in gynaecology. She offers full range of gynaecological services including the management of: menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and endometriosis, urogynaecology and prolapse problems, subfertility, colposcopy and menopause.
She qualified from Ain Shams Medical School in Egypt and had her basic training there. In the UK she got her postgraduate qualification and higher/specialised training in Gynaecology.
She was appointed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at University Hospital Lewisham in 2002. She resigned her NHS position in 2008 and now works in the private sector only.
